Have you charged your battery?

Every one of us has our own dream, to be a superb lecturer, a versatile writer, an inspiring leader, an outstanding worker, a brilliant expert and so many fantastic dreams to be achieved. However, do you realize that in order to achieve those wonderful dreams, we need to charge our “battery” all the time?
Our “battery” here is our soul and spirit. We need to always charge our soul and spirit in order to ensure both of them keep surviving. The question now is, how to charge our “battery” then? The answer is, we need motivation to charge our “battery”.
Motivation plays a vital role in steering our successful life. Without motivation, it is hard to achieve any dreams that we want in our life. Most probably we will fail completely in realizing those beautiful dreams. At the end of the day, dreams become just dreams which are infatuated when we are sleeping, but disappear once we wake up.
What is the importance of motivation? When you look around there are plenty of books, seminars and resources on motivation. But how important is motivation really?
Usually, people who are interested in motivation are parents, employers, teachers or lecturers. The reason for their interest is pretty obvious. However when it comes to motivating themselves, many people never seriously consider on that aspect of their life.
It’s not extreme to say that self motivation is pretty underrated and neglected by people. Many are just too busy dealing with life that they never spare any time thinking about motivating themselves. It’s not just that, some people strongly believe that they do not need any motivation.
For them it’s like “Of course I’m motivated. Who doesn’t want to be successful? Who doesn’t want to be financially, emotionally and spiritually affluent?”
Well, of course everyone wants success. However we must remember that talking about desiring success is one thing, but being motivated enough to commit oneself to ensure success is another thing. The difference is in the degree of motivation you have.
Here is the thing, the question isn’t whether you are motivated or not. The question is whether you are motivated enough or not.
The importance of motivation is clear. Motivation is the one thing that keeps us going when the going gets tough. When we feel like giving up, when we feel lazy, when we feel frustrated, it is motivation that pulls us through. Without motivation great things cannot be achieved.
Perhaps it is time we start giving self motivation the importance it deserves. Think of your dreams again. How motivated are you in realizing those dreams? When was the last time you charged your “battery”? If it was very long time ago, you need to charge your battery now. Let us charge our “battery” together. Do not let our low performance “battery” ruins our magnificent dreams.
